Happy Birthday Emma!

Emma turned three today at the Grand Canyon.
She loves posing for photographs most of the time. But then she often dislikes the outcomes of the photos. The ones she usually likes are the goofy ones.

She loves chips! She also really likes to eat macaroni and cheese (her favorite main dish food), strawberries (she eats a whole container of them in an hour sometimes), bananas, roasted green beans, smoothies, chicken (especially chicken nuggets), cheese, kiwi (she wasn't sure about it at first but now eats it with a spoon when I buy it), cantalope, grapes (she eats many of these in a sitting too), and pizza. She no longer likes spicy things but will eat more spice than many children since she has a mom that cooks with it often.

She is my little daredevil. In this photo she is holding a steel holder with flaming marshmallows on it. She was not scared at all. She jumps off the stage at church by herself (and lands on her feet), climbs on everything, goes down the high slides, and plays rough with her brother and other boys. She still loves tamer pursuits too though like playing dress up, having tea parties, playing with dolls, and doing her hair. She likes to comb her hair in funny styles. When she combs it back so it poofs a bit on top she calls it her "jazz hair".

Emma's favorite color is still pink. And she still loves to draw and draws several pictures most days. Her objects are getting more recognizable. She likes to draw monsters but has lately taken to draw some other things (can't think of what exactly right now). She knows her colors and can count to ten. She knows a few letters.

She loves Disney Princesses especially Sleeping Beauty (in the pink dress), the Little Mermaid, and Belle. Tinkerbell is also a favorite character. She plays house with dinosaurs and plays cars and likes TNMT (the cartoon movie teenage mutant ninja turtles).

She loves both her brothers. They all play together very well most of the time. Since Dale is in school for part of the day now she is often home with just William and she loves to hug him, roll on the floor with him and try to feed him things. She also has him play picnic and tea part with her by giving him items of play food to suck on or sips from a doll bottle or cup.

Emma loves books! She loves to "read" to her brother and to look at books on her own. Her bed is usually covered with books every night that she has taken in her room to look at instead of sleeping.

Emma is a very sweet, fun girl. She loves her family and loves to share with them and her friends. Although sometimes what she is sharing isn't what anyone wants to have (like partially chewed food). She likes to snuggle, hug, and give kisses. She loves to sing and makes up songs and words to real songs all the time by herself or with her brother Dale. She is a quirky thing and we wouldn't have it any other way. Happy Birthday Emma!
