Penguins and Tortillas

We come up with some interesting games in this house. I found out later that Jason actually invented the card game that Emma asked to play yesterday. We have a deck of winter penguin playing cards. Emma came to me and wanted to play cards. So we did. A very interesting game.

Emma: "Mom, let's play cards. Here are your cards." She hands me several penguin cards.
Me: "How are we going to play cards? What game?"
Emma: "Play penguin flies at Emma. Take the cards and throw them at me!"

So I throw them at her a few times.

Emma: "Now it is my turn!" She now takes the cards and pelts me with them.
Dale: "Can I play too? Its a penguin throwing party!" Now Dale chucks them around and I have to stop the throwing because it is starting to hurt.

So apparently Penguin flies at Emma (or mommy or Dale) is a modified version of 52 card pick up. With the throwing the cards part prominent. Oh silly Jason who doesn't want to teach the kids a more complex card game!

Later that night Emma was delaying bed time by pretending to be a tortilla.

Emma: "Mom I'm going to wrap myself into a tortilla!" She rolls herself up into this:

"I'm a tortilla now! Unwrap me because I am a tortilla."

Then she became a cheese burrito the same way and had me pretend to eat her. She was very specific that it was cheese filling, not beans or meat because she doesn't like beans.

Dale got into the action a few minutes later after he brushed his teeth. So he and Emma took turns wrapping themselves up into burrito bundles.
